Graduation Photos

My good friend Alyssa Lotito is graduating from Chico in May and while she was down over winter break she asked me to take some pictures of her for her grad announcements.  I was happy to do it because she is so much fun to work with!  Here are a few of my faves.

Daisies

I was in the backyard today and it seems spring has sprung on the slope.  The African Daisies are in full bloom and beautiful.  As I was snapping these shots I remembered the line from You've Got Mail when Meg Ryan says, "Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?".

Contrast

I was in Big Bear with  my friend Alyssa a couple weeks ago and while we were playing in the snow I noticed this barbed wire.  I was struck by the contrast of the rusty old wire and the pure white snow and had to get a shot.

Andy Grammer Concert

My friends and I went to the House of Blues in Anaheim to see Andy Grammer last Saturday.  It was a great show and this is my favorite picture from the night. 



The quality isn't great (it's from my cell phone) but I still like it :)

More Than We Can Handle

I've been reading Kisses From Katie and this thought stood out to me:

"God does give us more than we can handle.  Not maliciously, but intentionally, in love, that His glory may be displayed, that we may have no doubt of who is in control, that people may see His grace and faithfulness shining through our lives.  And as I surrender these situations to Him, watch Him take over and do the impossible, I am filled with joy and peace - so much more than I can handle."

"Lord, give me more than I can handle."  It's a scary thing to ask for, but it's a prayer from my heart.
